心得與想法：
過去那段農業時代，我們依靠著大地之母的恩潤而生，總是心存感激的得到糧食，不知不覺間加強了人們與土地之間的互動，而不是像現在這樣只是靠著土地建高樓大廈。漸漸的，人與人之間的距離也如那鋼筋水泥一般，人人都建起了一道又高又厚的鐵牆，阻止別人靠近也侷限了自己的生活。現在的社會造成人們的疏離，罪魁禍首正是我們的默不關心，我們只沉醉在便利的消費文化，殊不知冷漠已漸漸壟罩我們，但我們卻仍無動於衷，毫無反應。
Billy Joel用譏諷的語氣唱出消費文化的氾濫與人們的改變，歌詞的表面上是鼓勵城市的便利，但事實上卻是批判因高科技的產生，使得人與人之間變的陌生，同時也與自然脫節，但可怕的是，我們卻還引以為傲，渾然不知這樣的交換，對人們的負面影響遠大於正面能量。
其實，我們應該要更加關心我們的周遭，朋友也好，家人也好，大自然也好。而不該每天都坐在電腦前，沉迷於網路的便利，抑或遊戲的快感之中，否則，我們錯過的會比我們想像中的還要多。
我們應該要多出外走動，多看看這個世界，一扇窗不只是一扇窗，一扇門也不單單只是一扇門，它們是我們與外界的通道，不同於我們自身的侷限，它們之外的廣大世界正等著我們踏足探知。其實，自然之美俯拾皆是，旦看我們能否用心體會任何一個微小細節。
只要我們願意打心打開，讓世界進來。
